Certified Yoga Instructor
Holly began her yoga journey when searching desperately to avoid back surgery for a long standing low back injury. Being one who cannot sit still, she was determined to avoid the downtime that recovery would require. When both her physical therapist and surgeon suggested yoga she was skeptical, however she quickly found that having a stronger core and more flexible hamstrings meant better quality of life and pain management. Along the way she found the practice of yoga to be more than just physical benefits. The mental benefits of yoga are the ones that serve her daily. Holly has learned to push, yet respect, her body's limits. She now has the ability to again pick up toys from the floor, vacuum dog hair with ease, and carry heavy loads of groceries without pain. To top it all off, she fully expects to tie her own shoes at age 90.
Holly has been a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) through Yoga Alliance since 2015 and began her Advanced Teacher Training (RYT 300) in 2018. Always a student of yoga before a teacher, Holly has continued her yoga journey by taking online trainings and live workshops with many teachers that have inspired her over the years. Her teachers, Sage Rountree and Mira Shani, inspire her to be the best version of herself as well as to pass the yoga journey along to others.
Holly's classes are informal, fun, and energetic, with all kinds of music, laughter, and authenticity. You can expect laughing, sense of community, and a strong push towards your goals in her flow classes.
