Throughout the year our studio community comes together to raise money for the greater community that surrounds us. This holiday season Sanford Yoga Center has adopted an angel from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. We will have two Monday night classes to provide the community with an opportunity to donate to this cause! Cash and/or gift donations only.  Please purchase new toys and clothing for a child in need (no electronic game systems).  Gifts should be unwrapped. We will take cash donations to purchase the remaining gifts. Details on the angel are below.

Angel Details:

  • Boy, Age 11

  • Size Group: Child

  • Shirt: 14-16

  • Pants: 16

  • Shoes: 9.5

  • Sweater: 16

  • Coat: 16

Twinkling lights, gentle music, and a delicious blend of restorative poses to unwind, restore and dive deeply into the powerful healing of a quiet, yoga experience. Infused with longer poses targeting the body’s connective tissues & passive holds supported by the props to create ease and help restore the body & mind’s natural ability to feel whole.

Join us as we draw our awareness inwards, become more introspective and prepare body, mind, and soul to pay honor to this year, and welcome the New Year. We will complete our practice with a meditation that you can practice on your own for the year to come.

*Bring socks, sweaters, and even a friend! The studio has eye pillows, blankets, bolsters, and other props for your comfort, but feel free to bring your own.

This special class will be led by Dana Rubick. Dana is a 200 Hour RYT through Yoga Alliance and is working towards her 500 Hour certification at Asheville Yoga Center.  Workshops are nonrefundable. We must have five people register in order to hold the class.
